The Emporio delle Fattorie proposes a carefully selected range of wines and foods for wine and food lovers seeking good value at a reasonable price. The ability and expertise developed over the past 30 years or so has contributed to the success of the Club delle Fattorie of Pienza, whose experience has now been passed on to the Emporio delle Fattorie.
The founding members are Alberto and Mara Del Buono.
The wines and oils proposed represent the best of "farmhouse" production. Some products are unknown to most people, others already belong to the parthenon of Italian wines. Great wines have been discovered long before achieving international fame (e.g. Sassicaia, Tignanello, etc.), at a time when their prices were still "pocket friendly". This ability of ours to identify potentially famous wines is reproposed on the page "They will be famous".
Rare sauces and specialities are painstakingly selected on the grounds of quality of raw materials and careful processing with the explicit aim of avoiding any use of additives or preservatives.
The challenge we impose on ourselves every day is to discover and distribute traditional food products that are typical of peasant, Mediterranean, farmhouse cuisine: high quality products that can make our daily life more pleasant because they have not been degraded by mass production though complying with all the EU health regulations.
